Dear One,
I was noticing one day that I was smack in the middle of an extremely unpleasant feeling and realized I had stumbled into a tetrahedron (4 sided triangle) of Blame, Guilt, Should, and Worry. You could say the middle of it was Fear.
Thinking about all the tools I had for transforming my mental state, I pulled out my HeartMath Inner Ease process and concentrated on creating a state of ease while pretending to breathe in and out of my heart. Instructions can be found here: http://playinyourmarriage.com/resources
I used the process to get myself into a neutral state and then thought about what the replacement attitudes could be.
Thus came Freedom instead of Blame, Awe instead of Guilt, Curiosity instead of Should, and JOY instead of Worry. I had successfully transformed my Fear into Love in a matter of minutes!
This same process can be used to transform confusion, indignance, powerlessness, loneliness, or any unpleasant state into a more loving state by getting neutral and asking your heart for a replacement attitude.
I have used this at times when I just didn’t know how to handle a situation and was amazed at the obviousness of the replacement once I had it. I recommend you play with this any time you feel out of sorts to see what suggestions your heart will gift you.
In Peace and Love,
Nina
