How can you tell in any given moment if you are
open hearted and loving yourself?
Think of someone who you often judge for hurting
you in the past. Notice how you are feeling about
them right now. If you ran into them in a public
place, what would be your reaction?
This is an excellent measure of how you are feeling
about yourself in this moment.
When we are expanded, open and accepting of ourselves,
we feel that way toward others. We are able to
experience them as they are without judgment and pain.
When we are contracted, judging and unloving toward
ourselves, we will feel that way about this "other"
person. We see them as flawed, defective and missing
something important, just as we see ourselves in that
moment.
Stop and take a deep breath, dropping attention down
into the heart. Be with the breath and the heart and
Remember Who You Really Are. Remember that you are
not separate, but one with all life and every element
and loved by your Source (you can call it God, The
Universe, All That Is, etc.).
Notice when you are feeling uncharitable about others
and reflect on how you are feeling about yourself.
What are you judging about yourself in this moment?
Can you bring compassion and understanding, love and
acceptance to yourself in this moment right now?
If not, ask yourself why not? What is it that keeps
you from loving and accepting yourself right now?
Notice again if you can love and accept yourself as
you are in this moment. Notice any shift. then think
about that person you were judging harshly just before.
Notice how that may have shifted with how you are NOW
feeling about yourself.
Tell yourself "Everything is Always Working Out" and
Enjoy a shift in experience toward more easefulness.
Be Well and Enjoy The Ride!,
